Questions people ask us

Straight answers to what customers ask most before they order.

Do you fit the furniture, or only make it?

Both. Everything is made in our workshop; fitting is optional. We fit it, or deliver it ready-assembled for your own fitter.

How long does it take?

Usually two to three weeks from the final measurements. A kitchen without fitting can be ready in one to three days, with fitting two to seven days. Special doors or sliding systems can take ten to fifteen days.

Are all hinges soft-close?

Yes. Every hinge is soft-close and adjusts in three directions.

Are the drawers soft-close?

On request. Drawers without soft-close are usually chosen for rental properties.

How thick are the doors?

Flat doors are 18–19 mm. Doors with a pattern or a built-in handle are 16–22 mm.

Should I choose chipboard or MDF?

MDF gives a flatter surface, which matters for high-gloss doors. It is not more water resistant than chipboard: neither is waterproof.

Is any of it waterproof?

No board material is waterproof. Only a stone or composite worktop is truly water resistant.

Do the units come flat-packed?

No. Our carcasses come ready-assembled from the workshop.

Which hinges and handles do you use?

Soft-close hinges as standard, Blum on request, and never plastic handles.

How much does a kitchen cost?

Our kitchen packages start at £1,600 for 8 units and £1,800 for 10 units. Appliance bundles start at £590; appliance prices change monthly, so we confirm them in the quote.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. Ask Marian about the warranty for your job when we quote.

Can I see your furniture?

Some of our pieces are on display at 64 Pritchett Street, Aston, Birmingham B6 4EX, by appointment. Please call before you come.
